On December 15, 2022, as part of the implementation of the project of Erasmus + program #598367-EPP-1-2018-1-SE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP "Integrated Approach to STEM Teacher Training, STEM" at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University was organized training for teachers of Shymkent city.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the city's education department and secondary school teachers in STEM subjects. In total, 40 people participated in this event, 36 of them were school teachers.
Gaukhar Omashova, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, project coordinator from M. Auezov SKU opened the training seminar with a welcoming speech. During speech, she informed the participants of the training about the results of the implementation of the project "Integrated Approach to STEM Teacher Training" at the university.
Further, Gaukhar Omashova has made a presentation on theme “Development of integrated STEM learning materials”, in which she spoke about the key principles that make up effective stem education: a) problem-based learning, b) inquiry-based and design-based learning, c) content integration of STEM- learning, d) collaborative learning, and e) research-based learning.
Lyazzat Zhaydakbayeva presented the fact that it is possible to conduct research by connecting science and the subject of geometry with nature.
During the training, all participants of the event were able to ask the coaches Gaukhar Omashova and Lyazzat Zhaydakbayeva questions and get answers to all their questions.
And also, at the end of the training, the effectiveness of the training was checked with the participation of the participants themselves, the results of the training were summed up.
